Description

‘Powder Blue’ is a later harvesting variety, producing medium-sized blueberries with a distinctive powdery appearance. This variety has a low chill hours requirement, which means they can grow and produce berries in warmer climates such as Queensland.

Powder Blue grows to 2m high and 2m wide if left unpruned, producing beautiful, small, white flowers in spring.

Semi-deciduous in colder climates and evergreen in warmer climates. Blueberries prefer acidic soils rich in organic matter, prepare your soil with a good layer of compost, and fertilise with organic blood and bone or chicken manure pellets regularly. They grow best in full sun to part shade and need to be watered regularly during spring and summer.

It is recommended to plant a few varieties of blueberries to increase the crops, so may be planted next to the Blueberry Misty.
