Daniel

Daniel Rosenbaum is a Horticulturalist, Designer & Sculptor with a background in teaching design and concept development at universities in Sydney (UTS, UNSW & TAFE). Born in Australia to a Swedish mother and Canadian Father. Daniel grew up in Frenchs Forest on the edge of Garigal National park where he has fond memories exploring native bushland. In 2010 Daniel found inspiration for The Garden Pot Workshop through research into Horticultural Therapy, Healing Gardens & ‘Greening City’ movements, during post graduate studies in Ceramics at the Nation Art School in Sydney. Together with his partner Laura (also a horticulturalist and landscape designer) The Garden Pot Workshop has evolved into a rare plant nursery now based in Elanora Heights NSW.

Laura

Laura Khalil came to Sydney, Australia in 2015 as an International Student to study Horticulture at Ryde TAFE. Laura completed Certificate 2, Certificate 3 and Diploma in Horticulture as well as Diploma of Landscape Design at Ryde TAFE. Laura and Dan met while they were studying Certificate 3 at Ryde TAFE. During her studies Laura was awarded for her outstanding contribution, more than 300 hours of volunteer service with Easy Care Gardening, after graduation she went on to work for several years as a horticulturalist at ANL Garden Center in Ryde and Alpine Nursery in Dural. Laura is a passionate plant collector, she started growing various seedlings at the age of 15 while living in Panama. Now her favorite plants are Lithops and fruit trees.
